DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be warmly greeted by our Call Tanzania Safaris representative who will escort you to your accommodation in Arusha. You will spend the night at your accommodation, eagerly anticipating the start of your camping safari the following day.

DAY 2: ARUSHA TO LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

On day two of the camping safari 7 days with Call Tanzania Safaris, you will depart in the morning after breakfast for Lake Manyara National Park. This park is known for its abundance of birds and tree-climbing lions, with a diverse range of vegetation from savannah to evergreen forest. You may see giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, and elephants during your exploration of the park, and if you’re lucky, you may even spot lions lounging in the trees. After Lunch and an extensive gamedrive, we head for our Campsite for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3 & 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

On this day, we depart early in the morning after breakfast for the Serengeti National Park, which is famous for its vast open grasslands and abundant wildlife. The park is known for the annual Great Migration of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes that move in search of fresh grazing, and the timing of this migration depends on rainfall patterns each year. After lunch and an extensive game drive, we will head to our campsite for dinner and overnight. We will spend two nights in the Serengeti National Park.

DAY 5: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TO NGORONGORO

After exploring the stunning Serengeti National Park and witnessing the breathtaking Great Migration, we continue our journey towards the Ngorongoro Crater. As we approach the crater, the view is nothing short of awe-inspiring, with its steep volcanic walls and vast wilderness of savannah, woodlands, and lakes. After a long day’s drive, we will finally reach our accommodation for the night, where we will enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night at one of our comfortable campsites.

DAY 6: NGORONGORO CRATER TO KARATU

On this day, you will have an exciting opportunity to explore the Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast. The Crater is a unique geological formation resulting from a volcanic eruption millions of years ago. It is also a natural reserve boasting a high density of large mammals and bird species. As you descend the almost 600m deep crater, you will be surrounded by numerous wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle. With luck, you might spot the endangered black rhino roaming in the grasslands. After a thrilling game drive and lunch, we will head to our campsite for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 7: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK TO ARUSHA

On the last day of the camping safari, you will depart to Tarangire National Park after an early breakfast. Tarangire National Park is an ideal place to end your safari as it is home to a wide range of wildlife species. The park gets its name from Tarangire River which is the only source of water during the dry season. The park is well known for its large herds of elephants and the dense vegetation including acacia woodlands and groundwater forest. In addition to elephants, you may spot giraffes, hartebeests, and bushbucks while on a game drive. Predators like lions and leopards are also found in the park. Tarangire National Park also boasts of having the largest number of breeding bird species. After a delightful game drive and lunch, you will head back to Arusha which will mark an end of your 7-days camping safari.
