DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT

This itinerary is a 5-day budget safari that covers some of the most popular national parks and reserves in Tanzania. On day 1, upon arrival at either Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be met by a representative from African Big Cats Safaris who will transfer you to Outpost Lodge in Arusha for an overnight stay.

DAY 2: ARUSHA TO LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

On day 2, after breakfast, you will head to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive where you will encounter a diverse range of animals, including tree-climbing lions and thousands of flamingos. You will then spend the night at Migombani Camp.

DAY 3: NGORONGORO CRATER TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Day 3 takes you to Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you will explore the intact volcanic caldera and spot large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. You will have a picnic lunch at Ngorongoro before departing for Serengeti National Park. You will stay overnight at Nyani Campsite.

DAY 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TO KARATU

Day 4 is spent in the Serengeti, which is famous for its vast open grasslands and the annual Great Migration of wildebeest. You will have a picnic lunch and then proceed to Karatu for an overnight stay at Migombani Camp.

DAY 5: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK TO ARUSHA

On day 5, you will visit Tarangire National Park, where you will see elephants, giraffes, and various bird species. After the game drive, you will return to Arusha for the end of the safari.
