Tipping Guided

At Call Tanzania Safaris, we pride ourselves on partnering exclusively with highly experienced safari guide-drivers with a minimum of five years’ expertise. Many of them have been featured in National Geographic documentaries and are among the most accomplished safari guides in East Africa.

Our guides possess extensive knowledge of eco-culture systems, biodiversity, wildlife habitats, geological formations, predator-prey behavior, and the captivating traditional bush communities of the African bush and Rift Valley. They are also trained in safety procedures and are fluent in several languages, including English, to ensure a seamless experience.

Understanding Tipping Guided etiquette is essential for travelers visiting East Africa. The tour guide plays a crucial role in providing an excellent, secure, and insightful safari experience. Therefore, it is customary for guides to receive part of their income through tips from clients.

Gratuities are voluntary and based on your level of satisfaction with the experience. As a general guideline for Tipping Guided, we recommend approximately $10 per client per day. This practice also applies to guides who lead cultural excursions into their own communities.

At Call Tanzania Safaris, our guides’ greatest reward is your enjoyment and the enrichment of your safari. While Tipping Guided is appreciated, the most valuable gift is knowing that they made your adventure unforgettable. Please remember that tips are given only after the safari has concluded.
